Meraas Holding is one of the main players in Dubai’s hospitality and retail sectors under the leadership of HE Abdulla Ahmed Mohammed Al Habbai.
With over 20 years of experience in property, including 16 years at Dubai Municipality focusing on urban planning, Al Habbai is no stranger to implementing plans that transform Dubai’s landscape. Earlier this year, Meraas launched The Beach on JBR.
It is also continuing to build City Walk, the mixed-use retail and leisure project in Jumeirah and a $544.5mn plan to transform Dubai Creek.
More recently, the developer signed a deal last month to bring the first Bulgari-branded hotel to Dubai, which will be on the offshore Jumeirah Islands project.

Covering a total area of approximately 4.7 million square feet, Nad Al Hamar comprises a total of 166 individual plots ranging in size from 15,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet, designated for the construction of either warehouses or showrooms, which will be fully serviced with all infrastructure and utilities requirements.
Al Barsha Second
Al Barsha project is a development of commercial and residential plots facing Umm Sequim Road between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, adjacent to the established residential district of Al Barsha 2nd and directly opposite Al Quoz industrial area. The project is strategically located to tie into the expansion of Umm Sequim Road being undertaken by the Roads and Transport Authority, which will provide excellent transportation links to the surrounding areas and other popular nearby locations.

The Village – Luxury Outlet
The large format destination is unlike the traditional ‘outlet’ malls, The Village – Luxury Outlet will retail high-end luxury brands at discounted prices.
The announcements follows Meraas’ successful showcase of two new developments at Cityscape Global 2012 – ‘The Beach’ and ‘Island 2’. The Beach is a retail, food and beverage and entertainment destination that will take shape at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) between the beachfront and existing promenade. ‘The Island 2’ is a mixed-use development designed as a high-end boutique resort featuring low rise apartment buildings and a marina.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013, with the venue set to become one of the most anticipated retail venues with a total of 160 top-tier outlet stores. Phase-one of the development will feature 100 high-end brands, while Phase-two will consist of 60 additional outlet stores. With Dubai’s tourism industry marking exponential growth, ‘The Village – Luxury Outlet’ is envisioned to emerge as an iconic and must-visit destination for visitors and residents alike.
The project’s concept of the destination takes inspiration from a European village.

Serving as the centrepiece of the island project, the 210-meter Ferris wheel will offer breath-taking views of Dubai’s exotic coastline and iconic landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Khalifa. The piazza at the base of the wheel will serve as an entertainment zone and a unique venue for private parties, weddings and conferences. Additionally, a large LED screen mounted on the wheel will create an innovative electronic platform for broadcasting movies, advertisements, and interactive information.
‘Bluewaters’ will feature a bespoke ‘souq’ encircled by a promenade that will boast alfresco dining outlets serving a wide variety of cuisine. A mixed-use development that will take shape in Dubai’s exclusive beachfront district Jumeirah in the vicinity of Pearl Jumeirah Island. Construction of “La Mer” is set to commence in Q4 2014.
Conceptualized to integrate a minimalist and contemporary design, La Mer’s pristine location will ensure uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s iconic skyline.
