History:

1999

JUNE

The first Liali Jewellery outlet was opened in Jumeirah Centre by Raed Ahmad Baker, the youngest son of Ahmad Baker, Chairman of the Dutco Group, and Anuraag Sinha, under the umbrella of Dutco Group of Companies. From those humble beginnings, Liali Jewellery has grown exponentially at the rate of one new store every six months.

2000

JANUARY

Liali opened two stores at The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa and at Spinneys in the residential area of Al Mankhool, Dubai.

2001

SEPTEMBER

Liali opened new stores at The Gold & Diamond Park, in the New Dubai area.

2002

SEPTEMBER

Liali store opened at the traditional old Deira Gold Souq to cater to the tourists to Dubai.

MAY

Liali opened new store at the Spinneys, in Al Ghurair Centre, Dubai.

2004

JANUARY

Liali opened new store at Spinneys, on Trade Centre Rd., Dubai.

AUGUST

Liali opened new store at Souq Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

2005

The year 2005 saw major expansion & growth that changed the size of the company’s operations with four new stores. In order to support this retail operation, the back office & workshop capacity was increased & Liali jewellery moved to its own – head office & workshop at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre by establishing a new company there.

JANUARY

Liali opened two new stores at Bur Juman Centre in Dubai & at Al Ain Mall, Al Ain, and UAE.

MAY

Liali opened a new store at Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai, and UAE

OCTOBER

Liali opened a new store at Mall of Emirates, Dubai.

2006

This year with an increase in demand for freehold properties amongst residents, the need for lifestyle stores within residential communities increased significantly. Liali Jewellery utilized this opportunity to provide quality products and services within these freehold communities by opening two more stores.

APRIL

Liali Jewellery has also spread its wings to Barcelona, Spain.

MARCH

Liali opened a new store at in the Springs Community Centre, Dubai.

DECEMBER

Liali opened a new store at Uptown Mirdif, Dubai.

2007

The Company continues to grow even faster with four new stores planned in the first half of 2007 – two in Dubai Festival City, one within the new wing of the Gold and Diamond Park, and one at the Dubai Outlet Mall

MARCH

The company has conceptualized a distinctive creative exercise to support its new branding campaign, ‘The Famed Diamonds of the World’ Exhibition – a unique collection of the world’s 20 most treasured diamond replicas running for a month in different Liali Jewellery outlets from March 14 till April 14.

AUGUST

Liali jewellery extends ‘Fix-n-Shine’ offer amid overwhelming response. The campaign invited clients to visit any of Liali’s 17 outlets to have their most exquisite jewellery pieces cleaned, polished and repaired for the festive season. In addition, Liali’s in-house experts gave advice to customers on latest trends in jewellery and suggested creative ways to update their ornament collection. The services were extended free of charge to all.

OCTOBER

Liali Jewellery, leading retailers of branded and custom-made jewellery, was authorised by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre to sell Dubai’s first souvenir gold coin, Visions of Dubai, at five of its outlets.

NOVEMBER

Liali Jewellery collaborated with the International Gemological Institute (IGI). Liali Jewellery’s Memories diamond collection gets IGI certification.

2008

JANUARY

Liali Jewellery inaugurated Memories boutique, a high concept store dedicated exclusively to Memories – its unique diamond jewellery brand. The new shop store is located at the bustling Gold and Diamond Park.

OCTOBER

Liali goods are made available at Dubai Duty Free and in one year’s time, LIALI becomes the top vendor for fine jewellery to DDF.

2009

MAY

Liali jewellery announces the company’s achievement of 40% annual growth within a decade of existence in the market. Liali opens its first store in the GCC outside the UAE in Bahrain at Bahrain City Centre.

JULY

Liali Jewellery celebrates 10 brilliant years and expansion to new GCC markets.

AUGUST

Liali Jewellery celebrates a decade of excellence with its chic 10-10 Collection. The 10-10 collection portrayed a unique jewellery collection available in US$ 1010.

NOVEMBER

LIALI participates at Jewellery Arabia, Bahrain – its first participation at an International Jewellery Exhibition outside UAE.

2010

AUGUST

LIALI brings in the EID festivities with its brand new Nouf Ring Collection!

OCTOBER

Liali collaborates with the World Gold Council to launch a new collection of gold jewellery called “Liali Gold” with a mega advertising campaign of the same name.

2011

JUNE

Liali Jewellery completes 12 glittering years! Liali marked this memorable milestone with the launch of its glamorous DZ collection and attractive year round promotions to celebrate these dozen years.

OCTOBER

Liali enters the 22K Gold segment with a new store in Meena Bazaar, Bur Dubai and collaborates with the most acclaimed Indian brands, such as Nakshatra, Gili and Asmi apart from LIALI’s own, much sought after designs.
