Services

We offer a full range of Plastic Surgery (with a special emphasis on breast surgery, aesthetic facial surgery, body sculpting and cancer reconstruction) as well
as nonsurgical anti-aging treatments.

Facelift – In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. A facelift is designed to smooth the sagging skin on your face and neck, tighten the underlying tissues, remove excess fatty tissue, and refine your neckline. The incisions are hidden within your hair and in the natural creases of your skin.

Forehead Lift – Browlifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired. Using either traditional or minimally invasive methods, the muscles above the eyes are altered to smooth lines and raise the eyebrows for a more youthful appearance. The procedure is often combined with other operations such as blepharoplasty and facelifts to improve the look of the eyes and other areas of the face.

Eyelid Lift (blepharoplasty) – Your eyes are the focal point of your face. Cosmetic eyelid surgery is designed to correct puffy bags below the eyes and wrinkled, drooping upper eyelid skin that can give you a tired, sad, or angry appearance. The incisions are hidden within the natural creases of your upper and lower eyelids so they will heal inconspicuously. This surgery is designed to brighten your entire face and minimize the effects of aging.

Facial Fat Grafting – Fat injections can be an effective way to reduce wrinkles, diminish acne scarring and regain a more youthful appearance. By injecting human fat harvested from your own body, we can enhance facial fullness, fill deep creases, soften facial creases and wrinkles, plump lips and build up shallow contours. Fat injection is a more extensive procedure than the use of other cosmetic injectable fillers because liposuction techniques are involved. These techniques are used to extract the fat prior to injection. Fat injection is either performed alone or in conjunction with a facelift to enhance and soften facelift results.

Facial Sculpting – Facial liposuction specifically the neck/chin, is a surgical procedure that has been used in the United States  for almost 20 years to remove localized collections of fatty tissues. Many people have isolated areas of excess fatty tissue that can cause the facial form to lose definition. Facial Liposuction can be used safely and effectively to improve the contour of the face, especially the neckline. The entire procedure is performed through inconspicuous incisions. Good candidates for facial sculpting are patients who have excess fatty tissue without a lot of excess of skin.

Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty) – Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the nose. It can be used to remove a hump, straighten the nose after trauma, shorten or lengthen the nose, and to narrow the nose. In certain instances it may also improve airflow through the nose, making it easier for you to breathe.

Facial Implants – Chin implants reshape the chin to help provide a harmonious balance to the facial features. Many times a plastic surgeon may recommend chin enhancement to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve a more satisfying facial proportion, since the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose and vice versa. You will notice an improvement in your facial harmony immediately. You may experience soreness in the area of the implants, but this rapidly disappears. A very mild swelling usually takes several weeks to subside. You should be able to resume your normal daily activities the day after surgery, and you should be able to resume all of your physical activities within two weeks of surgery.

Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) – Ear reshaping, also known as otoplasty or ear pinning, can make your ears less prominent or make them appear more symmetrical. For unknown reasons, one or both ears of some individuals protrude further than normal from the head. This is usually a result of the failure of one of the folds of the ear cartilage to fully develop.  The procedure can be performed in children or adults. Children typically undergo surgery just prior to entering school, to minimize teasing by schoolmates.

Botox® Cosmetic – Botox® Cosmetic is a purified natural protein that relaxes facial muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Relaxing specific muscles in the face through injections of the Botox® Cosmetic formula reduces facial lines caused by frowning and creates smoother skin, fewer wrinkles, and a more relaxed appearance. Botox® works best in the upper third of the face: frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal bands of wrinkles across the forehead, and crow’s feet at the corners of the eye.  Botox® can also be used to soften or erase lines around the mouth, to sculpt the face by raising one or both eyebrows, as well as to smooth vertical and horizontal neck lines by relaxing the platysmal (neck) muscles.

Dermal Fillers – As we age, our skin begins to lose its fullness, and sagging, wrinkling and hollowing occur. These changes and other effects of aging can be improved through the use of injectable fillers. These treatments, often made from collagen, hyaluronic acid gel and other natural substances, are injected directly into the skin to restore fullness and smooth out wrinkles and other fine lines. The injected substance supports the skin and restores the volume lost over time. Many of the specific treatments have been approved by the FDA and are considered safe procedures with little to no side effects.

Liposuction – Liposuction sculpts and contours the body by removing undesirable localized fat that has not responded to diet and exercise from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used, and the procedure can last anywhere from one to four hours depending on the amount of fat being removed.

The entire procedure is performed through small, inconspicuous incisions. Liposuction can also be performed with the aid of a laser (laser liposuction). The basic procedure is the same, but laser liposuction uses a special laser tool that liquifies the unwanted fat so that it is easier to remove through the cannula.  The laser also helps control bleeding, which can help speed up the post-operative healing process.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) – Abdominoplasty, or a “tummy tuck” is designed to correct a protruding abdomen resulting from weak abdominal muscles, weight gain or pregnancy. Obesity causes the skin to lose its elasticity. These conditions may not respond well to diet or exercise if the skin and underlying muscles have been stretched. Good candidates for the abdominoplasty are patients who have exercise- and diet-resistant accumulations of fat and sagging skin and or abdominal muscles that have been weakened by age or pregnancy. With abdominoplasty, the abdominal wall muscles are tightened and excess fatty tissue and skin are removed to improve the body contour. The goal is a narrower, flatter abdomen. Realistic expectations are important. A tummy tuck is not a substitute for weight loss.

Thigh Lift – A thigh lift is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper legs. Candidates typically suffer from loose, inelastic skin after extreme weight loss due to diet, exercise or bariatric surgery. Because of this, the procedure is often combined with others such as breast lifts, facelifts and arm lifts to retain an attractive body proportion.

Body Lift – Also called belt lipectomy, torsoplasty and panniculectomy, the circumferential body lift is performed to remove excess skin from the torso and upper legs. Candidates for body lifts typically suffer from loose (inelastic) skin on many or most areas of the body as a result of age, childbearing or significant weight loss due to diet, exercise or bariatric surgery. Because of this, the procedure is often combined with others such as breast lifts, arm lifts and liposuction to retain a proper body proportion. Body lifts tighten and tone the abdomen, back, buttocks, hips and thighs.

Arm Lift – Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a surgical procedure to remove skin and fat from the upper arm, reducing skin redundancy that makes clothing fit improperly or makes you feel uncomfortable in short sleeves or sleeveless tops. Brachioplasty surgery can markedly improve the appearance of your arm. The combined effects of aging, gravity, fluctuations in weight, and a loss of skin elasticity all contribute to a loss of tone in the arms as we age..

Thermage® Skin Tightening – Thermage® is a safe and effective procedure that stimulates your skin to produce more and better collagen, which makes it tighter and healthier-looking.  Collagen is the major building block of the skin. This protein helps the skin to be tight and elastic, meaning that it returns to its shape after pulled or otherwise deformed. Collagen-rich skin resists wrinkling, is thicker, and appears more youthful.  Thermage® uses a unique form of radio frequency (RF) energy to simultaneously tighten existing collagen and stimulate the skin to produce more collagen.  The result is tightened skin producing a kind of “lift” without a single incision.

Breast Augmentation – Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures worldwide.  Women may elect to undergo breast augmentation for many different medical and aesthetic motivations, including balancing breast size and compensating for reduced breast mass after pregnancy, weight loss, or surgery. The procedure may be combined with others such as a breast lift for more satisfying results.

Breast Lift – A woman’s breasts may droop as a result of the natural effects of aging, heredity, gravity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss. A breast lift, also called a mastopexy, is performed to return youthful shape and lift to breasts that have sagged or lost volume and firmness. A good candidate for a breast lift is any woman who has breasts that are pendulous or sag, lack substance or firmness, or if the nipples are too low and pointing downward.

Breast Lift with Augmentation – A breast lift (mastopexy) raises and reshapes sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the breast tissue to a higher position.  The difference between this procedure and a mastopexy alone is the addition of breast implants, put in place during the same surgery. The implant is placed behind the breast tissue or under the muscle between the breast and the chest wall to enlarge and reshape the breasts.

A good candidate for a breast lift with augmentation is any woman who has breasts that are pendulous or sag, lack substance or firmness, or if the nipples are too low and pointing downward. If your breasts have also lost their breast shape and firmness due to age or pregnancy, the breast implants can restore (or even augment) your breasts to a more youthful-looking profile.

Breast Reduction – A breast reduction removes excess skin and breast tissue to make your breasts more proportional to the rest of your figure.  Women with large breasts who are unhappy with their appearance and/or want to treat symptoms such as back pain, discomfort during exercise, breathing problems and poor posture may benefit from breast reduction surgery. Other suitable candidates are women who are self-conscious about the large size of their breasts.

Breast Reconstruction – Breast reconstruction is designed to create a natural-appearing breast using either your own tissues or an implant. There are several different techniques available for breast reconstruction. The option we choose depends on your individual anatomy, medical history, and personal needs. Whether the reconstruction is performed immediately after a mastectomy (known as immediate reconstruction) where the patient wakes with a “new breast” or later (known as delayed reconstruction), this procedure has a dramatic impact on a woman’s quality of life and emotional well-being.

Women whose cancer seems to have been eradicated with mastectomy are the best candidates for breast reconstruction. Those with health problems such as obesity and high blood pressure and those who smoke are advised to wait. Others prefer to postpone surgery as they come to terms with having cancer, consider the extent of the procedure, or explore alternatives.

Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia) – Gynecomastia, a condition of over-developed or enlarged breasts in men, is common in men of any age. It can be the result of hormonal changes, hereditary conditions, disease or the use of certain drugs. Gynecomastia can cause emotional discomfort and impair your self confidence. Some men may even avoid certain physical activities and intimacy simply to hide their condition.
