Al Zain Mall of the Emirates
Al Zain Mall of the Emirates – Established in 1930, Al Zain Jewellery carries forward the Family Legacy of generations of jewellers, dedicated to crafting exquisite pieces. With a humble beginning in pearls trading, the Family Business was one of the first in the region, to combine natural pearls and jewellery making, and has over the years evolved into a leading luxury brand. Trough intricate workmanship and superior quality Al Zain have safeguarded a distinguished clientele and established a network of luxury boutiques in the MENA region.
The jewellery boutique has collections of 18 and 21K gold pieces, designed with exclusive diamonds, natural pearls, precious and semi-precious stones. Al Zain collections represent the life stages, cherishing the value of each milestone met. The timeless designs refined with class and elegance link tradition with contemporary concepts. For clients with specific preferences, Al Zain works on custom creations, executed with great care and precision.
The Al Zain outlet was re-established in 1977 where a new shop was opened on Tigar Road in the old Manama Souq. The sons of the late Abdulla Al Zain, along with the admirable manager and long-time friend Mohammed Hassan, managed the single most significant move to the Yateem Centre, located at the Bab-al-Bahrain Souq. This is where the Al Zain workshop was first founded and was set up with only four to ten craftsmen, which continued to thrive and grow, employing over a hundred people today.
But it was son Nabeel Al Zain who put the urgency into Al Zain’s rapid expansion. Nabeel shared his father’s love for aesthetics, inherited his artistic eye for detail and appealed to his core values of integrity. Nabeel Al Zain began steering the brand identity into a modern day enterprise. They soon started opening stores across the GCC and winning prestigious awards for their quality craftsmanship and were on the way to gaining recognition on a global scale.
As time progressed, Al Zain grew. The company started to be recognised and the family name ‘Al Zain’ and ‘jewellery’ became synonymous as one. Al Zain’s locations had multiplied and so had its staff. It was making itself known in jewellery exhibitions around the region. This swift expansion also meant that Nabeel could not be everywhere at once to oversee things. Not before long, Nabeel’s wife Samar Algosaibi joined the team and started working alongside Mohammed Hassan. Samar’s main priority was to support her husband. But her helping hand turned into a passion for jewellery design, which turned into an education. She started studying diamonds and became certified in gemology.
She became heavily involved with the manufacturing and worked closely with the factory. Mohammed Hassan, who had started out as a part time accountant for Al Zain, simultaneously developed a strong bond with Nabeel as well as his passion for the industry. Nabeel became reliant on him and put him on board full time. His time served at Al Zain has given him expertise that superseded any jewellery degree. With both Samar and Mohammed working side-by-side, one served as Nabeel’s right hand, the other as his left.
