If I could take only the basics of Italian Food with me to a desert island, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose hard grained flour, tomatoes, olive oil and parmesan cheese. If I could take some flavourings I would take some basil and garlic.

When we opened the first Carluccio’s caffè our aim was to provide great quality, authentic Italian food at sensible prices. We also wanted to allow informal but excellent service to our customers. The aim remains the same today.

In Liguria focaccia is biscuit-hard or oily soft depending on the local recipe. Ours is on the softer side, and we bake it from scratch every day with generous glugs of extra virgin olive oil.

TO SHARE ANTIPASTI VERDURE
Served without Caponata and chargrilled vegetables. A vegetarian selection of roasted peppers, Buffalo
mozzarella, semi-dried tomatoes, balsamic onions, olives and green beans with gluten free bread.
